Abstract
The Muhammadiyah University of Riau Rusunawa Building is a place of residence for students, almost 50% of their time is spent in the building. Thus, it is necessary to optimize the application of green buildings to increase efficiency in the building and produce a better, healthier and more comfortable place to live. This study aims to analyze the application of the Green building concept to the Muhammadiyah University of Riau Rusunawa Building based on the EDGE method. The research was conducted by collecting secondary and primary data from the selected research object, namely the Muhammadiyah University of Riau's Rusunawa Building. The secondary data used were as-built drawings and 3D Sketchup documents. Primary data were obtained from a field survey to identify energy and water usage. The obtained data will be input into Edge software and generate percentages of energy, water, and material usage. The results of the EDGE software assessment of the application of the green building concept to the Muhammadiyah University of Riau Rusunawa Building obtained the following assessment results: energy aspect efficiency of 65.84%, water aspect efficiency of 30.09% and material aspect efficiency of 70.00%. Based on these results, it has met the minimum standard of EDGE software efficiency (20%) The application of the green building concept of the Muhammadiyah University of Riau Rusunawa Building has been optimal based on the results of the EDGE software assessment in every aspect of the Muhammadiyah University of Riau Rusunawa Building
