Abstract
This study aimed to examine the role of teachers in enhancing students’ learning motivation in the Arabic language subject at Muhammadiyah 03 Excellent Elementary School. The background of this research stemmed from the importance of the teacher’s role in fostering students’ enthusiasm for learning, particularly in Arabic, a subject often perceived as difficult and less favored by some students. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed that teachers played an effective role as motivators, facilitators, and guides in the learning process. Teachers implemented various strategies, such as using diverse teaching methods, engaging learning media, providing rewards, and adopting individual approaches when interacting with students. Based on field findings, the role of teachers in improving students' learning motivation was carried out very effectively. This was evidenced by the increased enthusiasm of students in attending lessons, their active participation in class, and the improvement of their academic performance in Arabic language subjects.
