Abstract
The development in the automotive world is very rapid. By modifying a vehicle, it will increase the value of the vehicle both in terms of aesthetics, performance and social of the motorbike owner, the motorbike owner is more confident in riding the motorbike he modified. and this results in losses for consumers. The consumer protection law that regulates consumer rights where in this case business actors do not realize consumer rights and are responsible for this makes consumers lose The main problem in this study is Legal Protection for Consumers for Damage to Motorcycle Spare Parts at PT. Astra Honda Motor Sorek 1 Pelalawan Regency, What are the Obstacles in Obtaining Legal Protection for Consumers for Damage to Motorcycle Spare Parts at PT. Astra Honda Motor Sorek 1 The type of research used is sociological empirical legal research where the type of legal research is carried out directly through interviews or questionnaires. The data for this study were obtained through the interview process with PT. Astra Honda Motor Sorek 1 Pelalawan Regency and 7 Consumers who bought products at PT. Astra Honda Motor Sorek 1 Pelalawan Regency. Data obtained from the results of data collection, then systematically so as to get an overview of the legal rules and legal principles It happened in the field that consumers from PT Astra Sorek experienced losses due to damaged products, hidden defective products and not guaranteed originality or authenticity, consumers also did not receive responsibility from PT Astra Sorek and when asked for responsibility PT Astra Sorek gave the reason that the product had been installed. must be checked and has a long procedure so that consumer comfort is not guaranteed. In article 19 concerning the responsibilities of business actors, a person carrying out a business is required to compensate consumers for losses arising from defects in a product produced by the business actor. Obstacles in obtaining protection occur due to lack of knowledge and lack of consumer participation in obtaining protection and bases that are not in good faith.
