Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of Instagram, which now not only functions as a photo and video sharing platform within the circle of friends, but is also used for business purposes, such as promotions, as well as religious activities, including da'wah. Instagram has become an effective medium in reaching a wide audience and creating new trends in spreading da'wah. This research focuses on the description and analysis of the use of these accounts as a medium for da'wah, using persuasion theory which is supported by the concept of da'wah. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with sources consisting of four Instagram users. The research results show that this account was created as an effort to balance the rise of negative content on Instagram. Through Instagram, preachers deliver da'wah that provides a new perspective on Islam and introduces a deeper understanding of Allah SWT. Da'wah messages are delivered by following developing trends, through various programs designed by the creator of the da'wah. Apart from that, this account also utilizes various Instagram features, such as uploading photos and videos, using hashtags, Instagram Stories and Reels to reach a wider audience.
