Abstract

yThe implementation of the Pancasila student profile strengthening project is useful for building student character according to the dimensions of the Pancasila student profile, one of which is independence. In the implementation of the Pancasila student profile strengthening project, the character of student independence certainly cannot grow just like that, but there needs to be encouragement given so that it can build this independence in students. This study aims to describe how the implementation and obstacles to the implementation of the Pancasila student profile strengthening project in building the independence of class I students at SD Negeri 71 Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research method with data collection in the form of interviews, observations, and document reviews. The data sources used for this study were the principal, homeroom teacher I, and class I students. This study explains the implementation of P5 to build student independence based on the stages of the P5 implementation flow. To test the validity of the data using triangulation and analyzing data using the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results obtained from this study are that the implementation of the P5 project has been carried out well in accordance with the flow of the project implementation stages. The teacher has implemented the project implementation by developing students' interest in the project, adapting to the surrounding environment, doing their own assignments, daring to appear in public, expressing emotions, and following up on their weaknesses. Through this, students can demonstrate the development of their independence in accordance with the aspects of the Pancasila student profile.
