Abstract

The aim of this research is to increase student activity and learning outcomes in Class X.3 Economics at SMA Negeri 1 Kuala Kampar for the 2024/2025 academic year by implementing the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with research subjects in class X.3 of SMA Negeri 1 Kuala Kampar with a total of 32 students consisting of 17 male students and 15 female students. This research was carried out in 2 cycles. The research results show that the Think Pair Share (TPS) type cooperative learning method can increase the activity and learning outcomes of class X.3 students at SMAN 1 Kuala Kampar for the 2024/2025 academic year. The increase in student activity and learning outcomes can be seen in the average student absorption capacity in Cycle I (72.34%) and Cycle II (79.53%). Likewise with the completeness of student learning outcomes in cycle I (78.13%) and in cycle II there was an increase of (21.87%). Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning method can increase the activity and learning outcomes of class X3 students at SMA Negeri 1 Kuala Kampar for the 2024/2025 academic year.
