Abstract

Lubuk Attitude is one of the areas that processes citronella oil for generations and still survives to this day. However, citronella oil producers pay little attention to business management related to the high production costs of these farmers. This study aims to analyze: (1) Characteristics of entrepreneur and business profile of Mr. Yuhardi's citronella oil agro-industry (2) Availability of the use of raw materials and supporting materials, production processes and production processing technology in Mr. Yuhardi's citronella oil agro-industry business (3) Efforts to increase (improvement) citronella oil agro-industry Mr. This research uses the case study method, in the citronella oil agro-industry business of Mr. Yuhardi in the village of Tonang Nagari Aia Manggih, Lubuk Attitudeing District, Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra Province. The type of data used in this research is quantitative and qualitative data. The analysis used is qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results show that: (1) The average age of business actors is 45 years (productive age), education level is 12 years (SLTA), business experience is 3 years, and the number of family dependents is 4 people. The business profile of the citronella essential oil agro-industry in Tonang village is classified as micro-scale, with a personal business capital of IDR 25,000,000 and a workforce of 2 people. (2) The production technology used is still conventional. Raw materials are obtained from harvesting citronella in the fields of business actors, the average use of production factors in the production process consists of 240 kg of citronella / production process, 8.80 m3 of water / production process, 0.01 m3 of firewood / production process and energy work 1.11 HOK/production process, use of factors of production for one day of production 960 Kg/day, water 35.20 m3/day, firewood 0.02 m3/day and labor 4.42 HOK/day, use of factors of production for one month production is 7,680 Kg/month, water is 282 m3/month, firewood is 0.19 m3/month, and labor is 35.33 HOK/month, for the use of production factors for one year production is 92,160 Kg/year, water is 3,379 m3 / year, firewood 0.29 m3 / year and labor use 424 HOK / year.
