Abstract

The Relationship between Grit and Subjective Well-Being among Students at Darus Sallam Al-Bantani Islamic Boarding School. Grit is the ability of individuals to maintain enthusiasm and perseverance in achieving long-term goals, while subjective well-being reflects a person’s subjective evaluation of their happiness and life satisfaction. This study used a quantitative correlational approach, with 133 students as subjects. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling, and data were collected using a Likert scale and a subjective well-being scale that included aspects of affective well-being and life satisfaction. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson’s correlation test. The results showed a significant positive relationship with a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05). This means that the higher the level of grit possessed by the students, the higher their subjective well-being. These findings indicate the importance of perseverance and long-term enthusiasm in building subjective happiness among students. This research is expected to serve as a basis for the development of character education programs in Islamic boarding schools.
