Abstract
Body shaming is a form of behavior that involves giving negative comments about a person's physical appearance by humiliating and mocking the shape or size of their body. This study aims to understand the role of schools in addressing body shaming behavior at SMP YLPI Perhentian Marpoyan. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study approach, involving interviews with the school principal, student affairs teachers, and students. The results show that the school has undertaken various preventive and curative efforts, such as providing education about the impact of body shaming, building effective communication between teachers and students, and involving parents in handling cases. However, some challenges remain, including students' lack of understanding about the dangers of body shaming and limited school resources. This study recommends the need for ongoing programs that involve all elements of the school and family to create a safe learning environment that supports the positive development of students.
