Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the drug abuse prevention program among adolescents through the Anti-Narcotics Peer Interactive Dialogue for Adolescents organized by the Dumai City BNN. This program involves students from several schools in Dumai as agents of change in disseminating information related to the dangers of drugs to their peers. The method used in this study was qualitative by conducting interviews consisting of the head of the Dumai City BNN, then students who participated in the program, BK teachers, and also the principal. The results of the study showed that this program was effective in increasing adolescent awareness of the dangers of drugs and forming their resilience against these bad influences. However, there were several challenges, such as the lack of attention from some students and the limited number of participants involved. It is hoped that this program can be further expanded in scope so that more adolescents are protected from drug abuse.
