Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology is currently making. In society, internet use is increasing year by year, because the ease of accessing the internet causes many teenagers to use it to play online games. Teenagers often think that it can reduce stress and can also make money through online games. Because of this, many teenagers are lulled and become addicted to playing online games. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using qualitative methods. namely descriptive research. The most practical way to do this is to do it in-depth interview (deep interview). According to Bungin (2007: 108), in-depth interviews are the process of obtaining information for research purposes by means of face-to-face questions and answers between the interviewer and the informant or interviewee, with or without using an interview guide. In this research, the author made key informants and informants the research object. Because by conducting interviews with key informants and informants to get answers from research results related to the consequences of online game addiction. To overcome this problem, an approach is needed through Social Bonding Theory, where there are 4 points that must be considered for children, including Attachment. (Attachment), is the link between a child's affective and the level of respect for his parents' expectations, Commitment, here also in the case of online game addiction in students, parents must also give a commitment to the child in using gadgets, Involvement (Involvement), is how a child is involved in filling free time, and here the role of both parents is also involved. Belief (Trust), parents of children who are addicted to online games must give confidence to the child, that the parents believe that their child will reduce the online games. , by saying things like that the child will become confident and make himself valuable. And to reduce the number of online game addictions, parents must provide education and insight to their children regarding the dangers and impacts that online games will have in the future.
