Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and work environment on employee productivity, with workload as an intervening variable, at PT Comtech Metalindo Terpadu. Employees are a crucial asset in achieving organizational goals, and modern human resource management is required to address various employeerelated issues to maximize productivity. PT Comtech Metalindo Terpadu, a construction materials manufacturing company located in Kampar Regency, Riau, faces challenges in improving work productivity despite strong market demand and high product quality. This phenomenon is evident from increasing order volumes that are not matched by optimal workforce performance, along with difficulties in meeting production targets. Contributing factors include a less ergonomic work environment and ineffective time management, which lead to employee fatigue and uneven workload distribution.This study employs a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis via SmartPLS 4.0, with primary data collected from 103 questionnaires distributed to factory employees/workers. The results show that leadership style and work environment have a direct, positive, and significant effect on employee productivity. Furthermore, both leadership style and work environment also positively and significantly influence workload, which in turn positively and significantly affects productivity. A key finding is that workload significantly mediates the influence of leadership style and work environment on employee productivity. The implication of this study is that effective leadership and a conducive work environment are essential for optimizing workload, which ultimately enhances employee productivity
