Abstract

The research area is located in Rumbio Village, Rumbio District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, between 101⁰7'21" - 101⁰9'55" East Longitude and 0⁰19'47" - 0⁰22'4" North Latitude. The boundaries of the research area are seen from the administrative location, to the east by East Kampar, to the south by Kampar and to the west by Bangkinang Seberang. The purpose of this study was to analyze groundwater quality based on chemical and biological parameters to obtain groundwater types and to determine the distribution of groundwater quality as the main source of clean water in the study area. The research method used is the MAT method, the hydrogeochemical method uses absorption spectrophotometer analysis, the biological method uses culture analysis. Based on the results of laboratory tests, it was known that the chemical parameters tested showed Mn levels 0 – 0.36 mg/l, Pb levels 0.01 – 0.08 mg/l, Fe levels 0 – 0.05 mg/l, Zn levels 0.01 – 0.05 mg/l, NO3 levels 0.22 – 41.459 mg/l, As levels 1.24 – 1.38 mg/l. Then the Biological parameters show the levels of E-coli values 0 – 80 CFU/100 ml. Groundwater conditions in the Rumbio area meet predetermined quality standards. The final results of the research showed that the Rumbio area had 5 wells that were not suitable for drinking water, namely the RW 30, RW 44, RW 48, Rw 56 and Rw 61 wells.
