Abstract
The eastern region of Indonesia is the area most frequently hit by earthquakes, including the Maluku Island which is the main focus of discussion inthis study. The relative movement of the three plates in detail, namely theAustralian Continental Plate moving to the north, the Pacific Plate to the west, andthe Eurasian Plate to the north produces several faults, seismic activity/earthquakesThe purpose of this study is to determine neotectonic conditions in the form of active structures on Maluku Island, determine regional tectonic geomorphology andseismology conditions on Maluku Island, predict moment magnitudes on Maluku Island. The map produced in this study will be very useful as initial information forthe people of Maluku and its surroundings to be more aware of future earthquakeswhere it is difficult to determine the magnitude of the earthquake, so that theinformation conveyed from this research can be used as important information,especially predictions of the strength of earthquakes in future The research method used is research using secondary data, then interpreted by the author based on the research objectives to be achieved. Then a schematiccompiling process is carried out, calculations using formulas, satellite imageextraction. After that, the data is processed into the required software. The results and conclusions of this research are the Neotectonic Map whichcontains tectonic geomorphological expressions such as river bends, triangular slopes of hills and ridge domination directions. Earthquake Scenario Mapcontaining information on the type of fault, the length and area of the fault, as welas the Mw value. The tectonic geomorphology map contains information about thetectonic geomorphology of the area which is known from ridges, number of river bends, triangles (triangular facets), anticlines, glass-shaped valleys and landslides.
