Abstract

The boarding house business is a business that provides lodging services or temporary residence consisting of several rooms and each room provided has several facilities offered to prospective boarding house tenants at a rental price determined by the boarding house owner. However, marketing for the boarding business is still done manually, such as putting up banners or distributing flyers so that prospective boarding house tenants can search for boarding houses manually as well as go around looking for empty boarding rooms. Based on these conditions, the authors made an android-based application in which boarding houses could be marketed by boarding owners and boarding house searches by prospective tenants. The method used to develop this application is the Waterfall method, with the stages of planning, system analysis, system design, system implementation and testing. The results of the trial implementation of the application were carried out by distributing questionnaires to several respondents which contained various aspects of the application. Based on tests collected from respondents, it is known that this application has a calculation index of 80.2% and can significantly provide benefits to society
