Abstract
This study aims to determine the influence of motivation and the work environment on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable at Indrasari Rengat Regional General Hospital. The population in this study was all 554 employees of Indrasari Rengat Regional General Hospital. The research sample was drawn using a purposive sampling technique, with the criteria being 166 nurses at Indrasari Rengat Regional General Hospital. Data analysis used validity tests, reliability tests, R-Square tests, and hypothesis testing using direct and indirect effect tests using Smart PLS software version 4.1.1.4. Based on the research results, it can be seen that motivation and the work environment influence employee performance; motivation and the work environment influence job satisfaction; job satisfaction influences performance; and the work environment and motivation influence employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable at Indrasari Rengat Regional General Hospital.
