Abstract
Legal protection in employment generally aims to eliminate the slave labor system and of course to protect the workforce so that it is more humanized by employers, so that it can improve the welfare of the workforce and their families to become a more decent life as a human being. In order for the process of carrying out legal protection for workers to run well, some integrated and balanced planning and implementation is also needed. The main problem in this study is how the legal review of the role of the Social Security Program in Occupational Safety and Health for Workers in Pekanbaru City Restaurants. What are the Obstacles to Legal Review The Role of the Social Security Program in Occupational Safety and Health for Workers in Pekanbaru City Restaurants. This study uses the Sociological legal research method, namely legal research that obtains data from primary and secondary data sources. Data collection tool is interview. The type and nature of this research is descriptive analysis, namely the research provides data as accurately as possible to describe how the Legal Review of the Role of the Social Security Program in Occupational Safety and Health for Workers in Pekanbaru City Restaurants. The results of the research show that the Legal Review of the Role of the Social Security Program in Occupational Safety and Health for Workers in Pekanbaru City Restaurants is that legal protection for working time in the Panam restaurants in Pekanbaru City has been running quite well. Employees who have an accident during work time will be held accountable from the Panam Restaurant in Pekanbaru City. The Panam Restaurant in Pekanbaru City pays close attention to the health of the employees, for example, since Covid-19, employees have carried out vaccinations where the vaccination is borne by the Panam Restaurant in Pekanbaru City. The obstacle to legal review of the role of the Social Security Program in Occupational Safety and Health for Workers in Pekanbaru City Restaurants is that the Panam Restaurant workers in Pekanbaru City have not registered with the Social Security Administration Agency (BPJS) because employers feel they can handle work safety without having to register their workers with BPJS. and the lack of knowledge from the management of the Panam restaurant company in Pekanbaru City regarding the need to provide special lanes or roads to save themselves in the event of a fire or other dangerous event.
