Abstract

Corporate social responsibility is an important topic in the current debate. Most of these problems are due to the size and impact of modern companies. Some companies are bigger than others. Its influence is widespread throughout the world. Their activities can determine the welfare of society and the health of the environment. Corporate social responsibility has been regulated in Indonesia since the 1990s, but in some cases there are still deficiencies in its implementation. From the description above, the author is interested in researching how Corporate Social Responsibility is regulated in Indonesia and how Corporate Social Responsibility is implemented at PT Persada Agro Sawita, Indragiri Hulu District. The research method used in this research includes observational studies, or research studies, because the authors conduct research directly at the research location to obtain the information and data needed for writing this scientific research. Because the content of this research is descriptive in nature, this research provides a clear and detailed description of what the authors have learned about corporate social responsibility of PT. Persada Agro Sawita, Indragiri Hulu Regency. From the results of this study it can be concluded that Corporate Social Responsibility in Indonesia began to develop around the 1990s and was increasingly implemented by companies with the issuance of Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies, especially in Article 74. Regulations regarding Corporate Social Responsibility in Indonesia are also regulated in Law Number 25 of 2007 concerning Investment. Whereas in terms of the implementation of the corporate social responsibility program implemented by PT Persada Agro Sawita it is in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, although there are still obstacles and deficiencies in its implementation.
