Abstract
Biotechnology is a combination of two words namely biology and technology, so that we can interpret it as applied science and technology that utilizes living things to produce goods or services that can be utilized by humans. Biotechnology is one of the Biology subjects in class 9 MTsN 3 Pekanbaru City. One of the obstacles or problems that occur in studying biotechnology material is equipment or demonstration tools that do not support learning about modern biotechnology which are not available in schools, so it is difficult to understand and cannot practice it directly in the process of making biotechnology in the field of modern biotechnology. Learning media that use Augmented Reality technology can be a new thing for students so that it can increase effectiveness in the teaching and learning process. This technology can combine the virtual world and the real world realistically and in real time. Applications are made with unity using 3D displays with markeless techniques and using the ARCore SDK library. Based on testing at a distance of 30 cm to 200 cm 3D objects can be displayed outdoors or indoors and can track locations anywhere such as flat, textured and uneven areas with the condition that they have sufficient light intensity, which is above 19 lux. For the value of system implementation results obtained at 83% with the index "very good".
