Abstract

Depression is a mental disorder that often occurs in society. Occurs as a result of unresolved stress and leads to depression. To make it easier to diagnose the level of depression in final year students, we need a system that can represent experts with knowledge and experience base. The method or inference engine used in the expert system in this study is Forward Chaining and the uncertainty method used is Certainty Factor. Based on the results of black box testing on the expert system for diagnosing depression, all functions are running properly and as they should. Tests have been carried out with different inputs, thus indicating that the functions in this expert system have been running according to their functions. Based on the results of the MOS (Mean Opinion Score) test conducted on 20 respondents (MOS 4.13), it shows that the expert system for diagnosing depression at the final level of student depression has been running with a good appearance and is easy to use.
