Abstract
Fashion is an inseparable part of everyday appearance and style. In particular, shoes are known not only as foot protectors, more than that as a tool to show one's social identity, ordinary shoes are a small showcase of oneself for a person, shoe brands are a person's research material. Various types of shoes, especially for students in the community, still lack knowledge about all the information from shoes. With the marker-based tracking method, it functions to recognize the shape of goods that are around by implementing Augmented Reality technology. The preliminary study serves as the research background and discusses the research topic by setting goals and benefiting from the information obtained from the preliminary study. What researchers do is create new experiences in seeing shoes. The application will display the shoe information we want in the form of brand, type, social media and electronic commerce to make it easier. The research results obtained from the development of Android-based shoe recognition have been carried out through several stages. In this chapter, the overall results of shoe recognition research using Augmented Reality based on Android applications will be explained. Based on the results of research that has been conducted on Android-based shoe recognition applications using augmented reality technology, it can be concluded that to display Augmented Reality objects, the tracking area must be far from the user's camera and the tracking area must have only one shoe so that errors do not occur when reading data and sufficient lighting is required to quickly process 3D object appearances.
