Abstract

The current development of information technology has experienced rapid progress in line with the increasing complexity of human needs for fast, easy, and efficient information. People who used to interact physically are now starting to shift to electronic media because electronic interactions can be relatively efficient, accurate, and comfortable. Since the past until now, when people report incidents that occur in their environment, they have to go to the place that handles the issue. For example, if there is a discovery of protected wildlife entering a residential area, residents have to go to a facility like a conservation center to report the finding. Unfortunately, this method is not effective because it requires time, cost, and effort to go to the location. In this study, the author develops and implements a web-based application for reporting findings of protected mammal species. Based on the results of testing the application with 11 users, the final result obtained is 81.26%, which falls within the very satisfied (SP) interval
