Abstract

Quality of Service (QoS) is an important concept in communication networks to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of data. Wireshark is a network analysis tool used to monitor and analyze data traffic on a network. In QoS analysis, parameters such as throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss are used to measure and evaluate network performance. This study aims to analyze Quality of Service (QoS) in the context of using Wireshark. The research methods used include observing data traffic using Wireshark, measuring and analyzing QoS parameters, and evaluating network performance. At the observation stage, Wireshark is used to monitor data traffic on the network and identify patterns or anomalies that occur. Furthermore, QoS parameters such as throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss are measured and analyzed using data obtained from Wireshark. The results of the analysis show that throughput measures the amount of data that can be transmitted in a network at a certain time. Delay refers to the time it takes to transmit data from source to destination, while jitter measures the variation in packet delivery time. Packet loss indicates the number of packets that are lost or fail to be sent on the network. This study provides a better understanding of QoS in the context of using Wireshark. Using Wireshark, users can identify network performance issues such as low speed, high latency, significant jitter, or packet loss. This allows users to take appropriate actions to improve QoS within their network. This research is expected to provide ii useful guidance for network professionals in managing and improving QoS in their network environment. By understanding the concepts and uses of Wireshark, as well as QoS parameters such as throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss, they can optimize network performance, increase data transmission efficiency, and provide a better user experience.
