Abstract

Building fire is one of the disasters that often occurs in people's lives. Many factors cause fires such as short-circuiting, gas leaks, negligence in using fire in the house, and so on. Pasir Penyu Sub-district is one of the sub-districts in Indragiri Hulu Regency where fires frequently occur. It was recorded that the biggest case of fire was in Pasir Turtle District, which burned around 48 shops. The unavailability of a fire station and the slow handling of it is one of the factors that causes fires to not be dealt with quickly, causing a lot of losses. The purpose of this study is to determine the location of the fire station based on the risk of a fire disaster, so that fire incidents can be handled quickly to minimize the impact of losses that occur. This research uses quantitative methods. The analysis used is a risk analysis of fire disasters to determine the level of risk of fire disasters in Pasir Penyu District by considering the parameters of hazard and vulnerability. In determining the location of the fire station, researchers used the results of the risk level of fire disasters and BPBD Head Regulation No. 02 of 2012 Concerning General Guidelines for Disaster Risk Assessment as considerations and guidelines. Based on the research results, there is no high level of fire disaster risk, one village has a moderate level of fire disaster risk, and other villages have low fire disaster risk levels. The location of the fire station was chosen in Air Molek 2 Village which is adjacent to the moderate fire risk area, adjacent to the collector road, and has optimal travel time to cover all areas in the Pasir Penyu Sub-district.
