Abstract

In the era of globalization and increasingly rapid trade, investment is an alternative choice for business activities that continues to grow because it can increase the welfare of investors. At this time what was happening was the direct investment era, meaning that every person or country could invest quickly without going through a burdensome procedure and the business fields opened were also more varied. One of the investment alternatives in Pekanbaru that promises high profits is PT. Bestprofit Futures (BPF) which is an active futures broker that continues to transact in financial products and based on developments in the country where the implementation of its activities has been regulated in Law Number 10 of 2011 concerning amendments to Law Number 32 of 1997 concerning Trading Commodity Futures. The main problem in this research is how to form legal protection for investors who invest based on Law Number 10 of 2011 concerning Commodity Futures Trading and how to form dispute resolution and solutions that can be provided by companies in terms of settlement of commodity futures trading disputes. The research method used in this study belongs to the type of normative legal research or library research, namely research that examines document studies, where the data used includes laws and regulations, court decisions, legal theory, and also the opinions of scholars. The results of the author's research are how the form of legal protection provided by Law Number 10 of 2011 is preventive protection as well as repressive legal protection and forms of dispute resolution can be carried out in a civil manner, namely through internal Futures Brokers, then Futures Exchanges and also BAPPEBTI or can criminal dispute settlement is carried out.
