Abstract

The leadership of the Village Head is an important factor in determining the progress of the village to which he or she is responsible, but a Village Head is also unlikely to carry out his duties and responsibilities to make the village progressive without the support and participation of the community, for which leadership and community participation must proceed In line and in line to create a conducive and harmonious atmosphere so that the goals and ideals to make the village the better will be realized. The purpose of this research is to know the role of village government in increasing the community participation in development in pokcikting Village of South Thailand and to know the factors that hamper public participation in development in pokcikting Village South Thailand. Population and sample in this research are, Head of pokcikting Village of South Thailand, Secretary of pokcikting Village of South Thailand, Community Leader, and Public of 1,000, due to limited time and funding capability, the population of public figure and general public of sampling researchers with solvin formula so obtained Sample of 30. So total of respondents of this research amounted to 32 people. Supported by interviews obtained from two informants namely the Village Head of pokcikting and Secretary of pokcikting Village in southern Thailand. The sampling technique used in this study is the "census" used for the Village Head of pokcikting and the Secretary of pokcikting Village, "Randam Sampling" which the author uses to determine the sample of Community Leaders and the "Purposive Sampling" that the author uses to determine the sample of the General Society. Data collection techniques used are primary data collected by quisioner and interview techniques and secondary data collected through direct observation of spaciousness. While the analysis technique daata used is with the tool table frequency. After the research and then analyzed, it can be concluded that the role of village government in improving community participation in development in the pokcikting village Taihland Selatan is in the category of "enough role," because the village head can participate in mutual cooperation and implementation Development which is self-supporting from the community in pokcikting Village.
