Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Personnel Management Information System (SIMPEG) in the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency and the obstacles in its application. The SIMPEG application is a management information system that functions to manage data, management and administration as well as personnel information for a government agency. The SIMPEG application is the right solution for a government agency in dealing with personnel management problems. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Researchers use indicators of effectiveness, namely production, efficiency, satisfaction, excellence, and development to find out whether the implementation of SIMPEG is running effectively. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the effectiveness of SIMPEG implementation has not been carried out properly, this is because there are still factors that cause obstacles in the implementation of SIMPEG. The obstacles include network instability which causes administrative problems. Furthermore, in the implementation of SIMPEG there are also obstacles in its implementation including namely; the problem of internet network instability as previously discussed and there are still some Human Resources who do not understand the use of SIMPEG.
