Abstract

Research on Illegal Mining Supervision by Regional II Service Branch (Kuansing Regency) Energy and Mineral Resources Office of Riau Province aims to examine Illegal Mining Supervision by Regional II Service Branch (Kuansing Regency) Energy and Mineral Resources Office of Riau Province and to analyze obstacles to Mining Supervision Illegal By Regional Office Branch II of the Energy and Mineral Resources Office of Riau Province, Research Approach This research uses qualitative research. Qualitative research prioritizes natural settings, so that the results can be used to interpret phenomena, and the methods usually used are interviews, observations, and document utilization. Data obtained from observations, interviews and documentation were then written down in field notes containing what was seen, heard, witnessed, experienced, as well as findings about what was encountered during the research and constituted data collection plans for the next stage. From the results of research conducted on the Supervision of Illegal Mining by the Branch Office of Region II (Kuansing Regency) of the Energy and Mineral Resources Office of Riau Province, it can be concluded that there are still many illegal miners carrying out illegal mining activities. The inhibiting factors in the supervision of illegal mining areas in Kuansing Regency include unsupportive policies and authorities as well as SOPs and those that are still unclear in carrying out supervision.
