Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify and explain the Transformational Leadership Style of the Head of the General Section of the Regional Secretariat of Rokan Hilir Regency. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method. Based on the results of the research conducted, it is known that the implementation of the transformer leadership style at the Regional Secretariat of Rokan Hilir Regency is considered not to be implemented properly, this can be seen from the attention given by the General Head to its members has not been maximized, the head of general administration has not been able to provide special motivation to his subordinates. Not only that, the Head of General Affairs also does not give freedom to his members to complete a job or a problem so that his subordinates always depend on the decision of the head of the general administration of the Regional Secretariat of Rokan Hilir Regency. In implementing the transformer leadership style at the Regional Secretariat of Rokan Hilir Regency there were several obstacles such as general department employees still having difficulty solving a problem because most employees were still afraid to take risks for a decision. There has not been good communication between employees in the general section. The collaboration carried out by employees has not gone well, this can be seen from the employee's assumption that the work that is only individual work is not a shared responsibility.
