Abstract
The rattan handicraft industry is a small industry that is growing in Indonesia Riau Province. The center of the rattan craft industry in Pekanbaru City specifically which is located along Jalan Yos Sudarso, Rumbai District. This research aims to analyze: (1) characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profiles; (2) non-financial feasibility (market, technical, legal, management, organizational, social, and environmental); (3) the financial feasibility of rattan handicraft business in Rumba District. This research was conducted using a survey method. The sample was chosen purposively (purposively) as many as 3 entrepreneurs. Method the analysis used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. Results research shows that: (1) The characteristics of entrepreneurs show that average age 48.67 years (productive), length of education 13.33 years (equivalent University), 18.00 years (old) business experience, and dependents family of 4 (tall). The business profile shows that the rattan handicraft business classified as a micro enterprise. (2) 2. The rattan handicraft production process consists of The 6 stages are measuring and cutting, bending, assembling, plaiting, finishing, and coloring. The factors of production used consist of: from land with a lease of Rp. 3,000,000 – Rp. 6,000,0000/year, rubber rattan 2,683 pieces, 767 kg/year of saga rattan, 767 kg of manau rattan 501 meters/year, and 757 kg of pitrite rattan. The production costs issued, namely Rp. 141,260,556/year, receipts of Rp 196,936,667/year, and profits of IDR 55,676,111/year. Business efficiency (RCR) is 1.35 (> 1), meaning it is efficient and profitable. Rattan handicraft business marketing is mostly done by entrepreneurs who doubles as a craftsman to consumers directly. (3) To the end project age (10 years) rattan handicraft business requires total investment costs valued at IDR 60,233,011 and operational costs of IDR 1,705,442,121, while that's the benefit (benefit) obtained Rp. IDR 2,353,491,446 and net benefits (net benefit) is IDR 587,816,315. Based on investment feasibility criteria shows that the NPV is Rp. 366,788,636 (> 0), IRR of 106.45% (> 8.25%), Net B/C of 11.18 (> 1) and payback period of 0.95 years (< 10 years), meaning that it is feasible to strive for. The results of the sensitivity analysis show that with an increase in the price of rattan raw materials and a decrease production of 20% each still shows that the business worth running. The results of Hamdi's Method analysis show that effort is feasible, with a GVM value of IDR 294,929,789 and a GI of 1.20.
