Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of corporate governance on profitability and dividend policy. This study uses financial statements of banking companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data analysis technique used is the me thod of multiple linear regression analysis. Based on data analysis it can be concluded that Corporate Governance (Proportion of Independent Board of Commissioners, Managerial Ownership and Institutional Ownership) simultaneously has a significant effect on Profitability (ROE). Corporate Governance (Proportion of Independent Board of Commissioners, Managerial Ownership and Institutional Ownership) simultaneously has no significant effect on Dividend Policy (DPR). While partially the proportion of the Independent Board of Commissioners has a significant effect on Profitability (ROE. Partially the proportion of Independent Board of Commissioners, Managerial Ownership and Institutional Ownership does not have a significant effect on Dividend Policy (DPR)
