Abstract
The condition of the road in the form of minor damage is normal as long as the damage is not yet dangerous for road users, the area in charge of the road is Bina Marga, with a prepared handling program (routine maintenance, periodic maintenance and even improvement). Determination of appropriate treatment is the most relevant initial action incompletion of a job. Handling that is postponed and not immediately will cause the damage to occur to be even greater and the impact will be more widespread. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of road damage, compare the results of the analysis values of the two methods, namely the Highways and the Pavment Condition Index PCI method, and find out how to handle and maintain the Jalan Raya Marina City, Batam City. In the Highways Method the LHR value and the road condition value are the keys toknowing the value of the Order of Priority as a maintenance program service that is in accordance with the state of damage, the Marga Method can be used as a cause of road damage in general.PCI (Pavment Condition Index) methodis one of the road pavement condition assessment systems based on the type, level of damage that occurs and is used as a reference in handling damage. The results of the percentage of damage to the average value of Highways Order of Priority results in 6 conditions entering into Periodic maintenance. The results of the damage analysis using the PCI (Pavment Condition Index) method for the condition of the Marina City Highway Section have Poor conditions, the correlation between the Bina Marga method and the PCI (Pavment Condition Index) method lies in the area of damage or a Density value of 24% of the point area study. The form of handling and repairing road conditions in the Poor category and Periodic Maintenance is in the form of handling on the surface layer, by increasing the quality of structural strength according to the load repetition plan and can be returned to a stable condition. For some road conditions with damaged categories, periodic maintenance is being carried out which is carried out at a certain time or planned and its nature is to improve the structural capability of the road. Meanwhile, if the road conditions are severely damaged, Improvement/Reconstruction is carried out in the form of structural and/or geometric improvements in order to achieve service levels, usually in the form of reconstruction.
