Abstract
Garbage is a solid waste material from human activities on earth. Therefore, the amount of waste is very closely related to the number of people who live or work in a certain place and is also closely related to the form of human life activity. Garbage is a consequence of community activities. Pekanbaru City District has a village that is identified as a slum area, according to the Mayor's Decree of 2017, namely Sukaramai Village, Tanah Datar Village. This research is classified as a deductive approach because the researcher examines general problems based on testing a theory consisting of variables, to determine whether the influence between variables is to analyze the level of slums in slum areas in Sukaramai Village, Pekanbaru City District. From the results of adjustments based on applicable standards, in Sukaramai Village there are still some that are not in accordance with standards such as waste containers that do not comply with applicable standards and types of regulations, transportation operational schedules that sometimes do not match the schedule, TPS conditions that smell and the garbage is scattered to the streets around. Attention from the government must be considered by providing several facilities and infrastructure and adequate facilities.
