Abstract

Karimun Regency is a regency that has extraordinary natural wealth which has great potential for tourism development, with a lot of tourism potential and cultural potential. Tanjung Hutan Village is one of the villages that has potential in the tourism sector, namely hot spring baths, but the problem of managing and exploiting this potential is still very inadequate, so alternatives are needed to develop this sector so that it is more optimal. This study aims to analyze the directions for the development of hot spring tourism objects in Tanjung Hutan Village, Karimun Regency. Data were collected by conducting interview observations and distributing questionnaires. Furthermore, the collected data were analyzed using descriptive methods and SWOT analysis as well as internal and external (IE) metrics. The results of this study indicate that the direction for developing an adequate tourist attraction that can be applied is to carry out tourism development. The results of the study have implications for all parties to pay serious attention to the development of Tanjung Hutan hot spring tourism objects.
