Abstract

The development of land in the Mining District as a form of fulfilling the need for both social activities and other activities that basically require land, such as settlements, industry and so on. Tambang District is one of the sub-districts in Kampar Regency whose area according to the measurement of the Camat Office is ± 489.91 Km2 or 48,991.00 Ha. The widest village area is Kuapan Village with an area of 85.29 km2 and the smallest is Pulau Permai Village, which is 3.3 km2. This study aims to determine the socio-economic influences on the selection of settlement locations in the Mining District. The research approach used is deductive with a quantitative descriptive research type. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis technique and likrtet analysis. The results of the study show the value for each socio-economic indicator as follows: access indicator 75% is considered good. Environmental indicator 80% is considered very good. Physical indicator 77% is considered good. Legality 80% is considered good. Facility indicator 78% is considered good. Environmental indicators and legality indicators have a high very good score which is above other indicators.
