Abstract

The implementation of electronic trials aims to support the implementation of trials effectively, efficiently, and at low cost. This study aims to reveal the implementation of Perma No. 7 of 2022 at the Siak Religious Court, as well as to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of Perma No. 7 of 2022 at the Siak Religious Court. The method used in this study is a mix of normative-empirical, data collection through interviews, and the informants involved consist of Judges, Advocates, Plaintiffs, and Defendants who have had cases at the Siak Religious Court. The conclusion of the study is: (1) To achieve the principles of effective, efficient and low-cost implementation of Perma No. 7 of 2022, the Siak Sri Religious Court implemented DDTK and utilized the E-Court application; (2) Supporting factors for the implementation of Perma No. 7 of 2022 at the Religious Court in Siak Regency are legal certainty, prioritizing benefits, employee assistance to the litigants, relatively short trial duration, and low cost, while the inhibiting factors are less than optimal technology, litigants are less technologically proficient, delays in sending documents, and application maintenance.
