Abstract
Communication behavior is a person's action or response in the communication process which can be in the form of verbal or non-verbal communication that appears in individual behavior. This behavior is part of the individual's needs and motivations to achieve certain goals in their social interactions, both in personal and interpersonal contexts. This study aims to determine how parents' communication behavior towards children in following the velocity trend on TikTok social media. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research approach where all data sources come from descriptive sentences that are described in this entire study. The data collection method uses interviews and observations with parents of 3 children who follow the trend on TikTok social media and documentation to help obtain fairly indepth data on children who use TikTok. The results of this study are communication behavior carried out by parents towards children using interpersonal communication which is divided into four parts, namely by providing supervision on children's TikTok use, giving advice to children, and trying to always be open between parents and children to choosing to remain firm with children so that children do not become addicted to using TikTok social media.
