Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out and analyze whether Emotional Intelligence and Organizational Commitment have a positive and significant effect on the performance of secretariat employees at the PUPRPKPP Service in Riau Province. The population in this research are all Civil Servants who work in the Secretariat section of the PUPRPKPP Service of Riau Province. The sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling, namely all Civil Servants who worked in the secretariat, while the population used as researchers for the research sample was 54 people. The data collection technique in this research uses a questionnaire. The data analysis technique in this research uses descriptive analysis and Smartpls 4 testing. The results of this research show that Simultaneously Emotional Intelligence and Organizational Commitment have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, Partially Emotional Intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, Partially, Organizational Commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The Emotional Intelligence variable is the independent variable that has the greatest influence on the performance variable of Civil Servants who work in the Secretariat section of the PUPRPKPP Service of Riau Province.
