Abstract

Representasi Nilai Tanggung Jawab Dalam Film “Suzume No Tojimari” (Analisis Semiotika Roland Barthes)he purpose of this study is to analyze the representation of the value of responsibility in the animated film “Suzume No Tojimari” using the Roland Barthes semiotic approach. The movie directed by Makoto Shinkai conveys an important moral message about how everyone is responsible for themselves, family, environment, and God. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used were observation and documentation. The results showed that Suzume's character reflects the value of responsibility through heroic actions in closing the door to disaster. The deep meaning of responsibility in daily life includes social, family, and spiritual responsibilities. This was found by analyzing every visual or dialogue in the film Suzume No Tojimari using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory that focuses on denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings. It is hoped that this study will increase our understanding of the value of responsibility and encourage further research on similar subjects.
