Abstract

This study aims to explore knowledge and find out the process of audiences becoming content creators on TikTok social media. In this study using a qualitative method with a Phenomenological approach, the data collection technique used consists of three, namely by conducting observations, in-depth interviews with the two informants, namely the TikTok account owner @slatt0911 who has the audience process of becoming a content creator on TikTok social media, and documentation. The subject informants in this study consisted of two informants, namely Okunuga Faruq Adeola and Ahmad Nurudeen. Based on the research results, the following results were obtained: The existence of social support factors that change the mindset of informants to turn into content creators. The virality of the content and the positive response from the audience spurred greater motivation, resulting in the transformation of the audience into content creators. Thus, their journey as content creators shows a transformation from passive users who simply seek entertainment to active creators with clear goals. The subject's process of becoming a content creator contains deep personal meaning from mere entertainment to a medium of expression, from friendship relations to creative work, from spontaneous activities to a space of achievement and recognition. The essence of this whole process is not just about “becoming famous”, but about finding a place in the digital space, where they feel recognized, connected, and developed as individuals.
