Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the skill level of basketball playing among extracurricular students at SMPN 35 Pekanbaru. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The population in this study consists of 20 students who participate in the basketball extracurricular activities at SMPN 35 Pekanbaru. The sampling technique used in this research is total sampling, with a total sample of 20 students. The research instrument used is a basketball skills test, which includes a chest pass test, shooting test, and dribbling test. Based on the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the skill level of basketball playing among extracurricular students at SMPN 35 Pekanbaru falls into the Fair category, as the average score of the students' basketball skills is 26.60, which lies within the normative interval of 24.42 – 28.78.
