Abstract
A deep understanding of the division of ocean zones based on international law is essential for maintaining the sustainability of global ecosystems, regulating the use of natural resources, and ensuring security and environmental protection. However, the lack of student understanding of these concepts often poses an obstacle to effective maritime law enforcement. Concepts such as Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZ), Additional Zones, and Territorial Seas require clear and interactive visualization to be well understood. Augmented Reality (AR) technology has emerged as a significant breakthrough, not only in entertainment but also in education, by offering immersive learning experiences. This research aims to develop "Learning Media on the Division of Ocean Zones and Their Depths Using Augmented Reality" as a means to enhance student understanding at SMK Negeri 1 Bunguran Timur about the importance of maintaining the sustainability of ocean zones. It is hoped that this application can attract students' interest and provide useful information, thereby contributing to education as well as efforts for environmental protection and more effective maritime law enforcement. This research was conducted using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, and the results of the implementation of this research have a fairly high level of 83.1%.
