Abstract
Anambas Islands Regency has great potential in developing coconut commodities, but this great potential has not been utilized properly by the regional government, due to the lack of concrete strategies to develop this potential.In this research, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats will be identified and feasibility and inhibiting factors will also be analyzed using the SWOT method to determine the optimal strategy for developing coconut potential. Based on the results of the data analysis and calculations carried out, it was found that the best strategy for the Anambas Islands Regency government in developing coconuts was to use the (S-O) strategy, namely the strategy of using strength by exploiting opportunities, then from the feasibility analysis it was found that the environmental observation conditions of the Anambas Islands Regency were very supportive of the location. growth and development of coconut, and from the results of the cost benefit analysis several economic indicators in the form of Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Benefit/Cost, and Pay Out Time for the processing of this potential coconut meet economic criteria, apart from that there are also inhibiting factors in the development Coconut oil is related to the quality of human resources, global economic turmoil, land function changes, infrastructure limitations, connectivity and disaster problems.
