Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the Effect of Punishment on Employee Discipline at Universitas Islam Riau. The research variables used are Punishment and Discipline. This type of research uses Quantitative Descriptive Because the author intends to provide analysis results and information on the object of research, which is studied using Quantitative methods. Data collection techniques use: Observation, Questionnaires, Interviews and Documentation The author uses Quantitative data analysis techniques which are used to obtain information about the Effect of Punishment on Employee Discipline at Universitas Islam Riau. Research Results Punishment indicators are generally effective, both from preventive and repressive aspects. This punishment plays an important role in providing warnings to employees to comply with the work rules that have been set and the Discipline of Universitas Islam Riau Employees has complied with the rules, is present on time, follows work standards, and has a high level of work ethics and alertness. It can be concluded that the implementation of punishment has a positive contribution to improving employee discipline. Punishment policies can be effective, fair, and accepted by employees. To create sustainable discipline, encourage work motivation, and improve overall organizational performance.
