Abstract

This study is a study of the effectiveness of the Baso Bersemi Lagi program in preventing stunting in Bathin Solapan District, Bengkalis Regency and its inhibiting factors. This research method is qualitative, with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the study concluded; (1) Overall, the Baso Bersemi Lagi program has not been effective in preventing stunting in Bathin Solapan District, Bengkalis Regency. This is because although the Baso Bersemi Lagi program has been implemented with a structured mechanism and involves various parties such as PKK, Posyandu and the community, its contribution to reducing stunting rates in Bathin Solapan District is still low. Some inhibiting factors include limited frequency of basic food distribution, inadequate staple foods, socio-cultural conditions and lack of public awareness of the importance of nutrition. Although this program provides basic food assistance, it still has challenges such as socialization that has not changed parenting patterns, indicating that there needs to be an evaluation and improvement of strategies, such as increasing education, frequency of distribution, and strengthening the role of related private institutions so that they can work together to help prevent stunting rates from increasing significantly in the future. (2) Inhibiting factors consisted of lack of supervision, low parental awareness of the importance of nutritional intake, limited budget and less than optimal understanding of Posyandu cadres in the village.
