Abstract
Well X is a well that has experienced a decrease in production and has low permeability. This causes the need for hydraulic fracturing to increase the permeability and conductivity of well X. Because the well has low permeability, frac fluid is needed which is capable of creating large fracture geometries so obtained good permeability values such as viscoelastic surfactant and widefrac which have a viscosity of 54.8 cP and 148 cP. To find out the frac fluid and proppant and the appropriate viscosity, research will be carried out through a fracpro simulator regarding the variation between frac fluid and proppant in well X. In the proppant analysis, three types of proppant sand are used, namely badger frac sand, brady sand and arizona sand, with roundness and sphericity values (0.8, 0.8), (0.7, 0.8), and (0.7, 0.8). The method used in this research is the field research method using secondary data from oil fields, expert opinions, principles and theories from the literature and carried out with 6 scenarios that focus on obtaining fracture geometry, conductivity, and FCD values that are suitable for application to well X. Based on the research carried out, the most suitable frac fluid and proppant variations were obtained, namely scenario (V, 2) which consisted of viscoelastic surfactant and badger frac sand which produced a fracture length of 73.1 ft, a fracture width of 0.32 inch, a conductivity of 4266 mD, ft and a value of FCD 17,416.
