Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze how much influence Competence and Motivation have on Teacher Performance at SMK NEGERI 1 Tapung Hulu, Rimba Beringin Village, Kampar Regency. The population in this study were all teachers at SMK NEGERI 1 Tapung Hulu, Rimba Beringin Village, Kampar Regency, totaling 34 teachers. And the sample in this study used a saturated technique, namely a sampling technique by which all members of the population were sampled. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique in this study used quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it shows that the competency variable has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance at SMK NEGERI 1 Tapung Hulu. While the motivation variable is stated to have no positive and significant effect on teacher performance at SMK NEGERI 1 Tapung Hulu. Simultaneously, the competency variable and the motivation variable are stated to have an effect and are significant on the teacher performance variable at SMK NEGERI 1 Tapung Hulu. The competency variable is the most dominant variable influencing teacher performance in this study.
