Abstract

Justice in cases of children in conflict with the law in the Dabo Singkep Sector Police where restorative justice is also a justice system that is aligned between providing protection and the interests of victims and perpetrators but in this case there are not some that are resolved by diversion or outside criminal justice. The main problem in this research is how to implement restorative justice in cases of children in conflict with the law in the Dabo Singkep Sector Police, and what are the obstacles for the Dabo Singkep Sector Police in implementing restorative justice in cases of children in conflict with the law in the Dabo Singkep Sector Police. The research carried out was sociological legal research using observation or field research by way of direct surveys to the field, to collect primary and secondary data obtained from respondents both through interviews and the results of library research to be used as data or information as material in writing this research. Based on the results of the research, it can be understood that the implementation of restorative justice in cases of children in conflict with the law in the Dabo Singkep Sector police has not been implemented optimally due to the weakness of the parties involved in it and the distrust of the victims who do not want to make peace because they feel disadvantaged. Meanwhile, the obstacles for the police in implementing restorative justice in cases of children in conflict with the law in the Dabo Singkep police sector include the unwillingness of the victim's family to settle restorative justice in addition to the absence of a women's and children's protection unit which results in no special diagnostics for children.
