Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of ASP and Hybrid alkaline parameters on recovery factor and cumulative production in cores. This research has previously been carried out on a field scale. So the results of this research are more complex. Reservoir modeling was done with CMG GEM 2020. This study began with modeling the sandstone reservoir and injection fluids, including alkylbenzene sulfonate (ABS) for surfactants, sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and ammonium (NH4) for alkaline hybrids, hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) for polymers, on the ASP model. The regular radial grid will be compared with the regular Hybrid ASP radial grid in order to be able to estimate the production performance of the reservoir based on the completion planning scenario of a well in the CMG GEM 2020 simulation. The results showed that scenario 4 with the use of alkaline Na2CO3 of 0.31, NH4OH 0.1 wt%, surfactant of 0.1 wt%, and polymer of 1350 ppm gave the highest oil recovery of 84.04%, while scenarios 1, 2 and 3 had oil recovery respectively. 80.34%, 76.89% and 82.11% respectively. The results of this study indicate that the use of lower surfactant concentrations can increase the recovery factor. And the use of hybrid alkali in the sandstone reservoir does not significantly affect the adsorption of surfactants.
