Abstract

The SRP pump (sucker rod pump) is a nod pump that is one way of artificial lift method in an effort to optimize production in natural flow wells, where the production rate obtained is not optimal in accordance with its production capability. This is due to the well's static pressure (Ps) which has decreased and is no longer able to push fluid from the bottom of the well to the surface optimally. The results of the engineering study of the performance of the SRP pump with unit type C-640-365-44 and the size of its supporting equipment components (tubing, plunger, rod string and prime mover) installed in well X, show that the pump can operate properly. This means that the SRP pump series C-640D-356-144 and the size of its supporting equipment components do not need to be replaced. The only problem is that the optimal production rate target (Qopt) of 521.40 bfpd has not been achieved. Based on the results of this analysis carried out with the help of production software simulation, namely Prosper 7.5 to optimize the sucker rod pump for production so that the optimal production rate target above will be achieved. The results of the analysis for production optimization to achieve the optimal production rate target based on the stroke length (S) parameter and pump speed (N) pump intake pressure of 284.7 psi so that the optimal production rate is obtained at a value of 124 Inch SL with a value of N 6 SPM obtained results of 614.2 BFPD while at a value of 100 Inch SL with a value of N 6 SPM obtained results of 470 BFPD with pumping volumetric efficiency (Ev) of 81%.
